iVideoBot Pro is a multi-format video converter for Windows. It is advertised as a converter for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. It basically can convert video files to H.264 and MPEG-4 MP4 files. Like many other converters, iVideoBot Pro uses conversion profiles with preloaded conversion settings for specific devices. There are 6 profiles: iPad, iPod (music only), iPod 5g/Classic/Nano 3 (which I think refers to the Nano), iPod Video 2, and iPod video 2 for TV. When you select one of the formats, you will instantly see all the conversion settings below the profile field. And you can change quality settings from a drop-menu as well.
When I was testing this application, I used an XviD AVI file first. The file was 15 megabytes, and the quality was average. I used an iPad profile and started the conversion. I noticed it was taking too long, so I looked at the progress window and saw that the target file was 1.65 gigabytes. In other words, my 15 megabyte file was being encoded into a 1.65-gigabyte file. Don't ask me why. I tried all the profiles and the file size was always off the charts. I then switched to an FLV file. I noticed the same problem, but instead of a gigabyte and a half, my 12-megabyte FLV file was being converted into an 85-megabyte file. I have never seen a converter do something like this. In my opinion, it is a waste of time. It is not like the videos I was uploading were of the highest quality. They were simple sample files.
